"Adulthood can be the hardest 'hood', but it can also be the most rewarding."

It all started with the founder who needed guidance and support as she navigated life from high school to her professional, academic, financial, health (physical, mental, and emotional) journeys. The transition from childhood to adulthood didn't come with a user manual, a simple Google search nor a host of support from others. As she figured things out on her own, she began to mentor her siblings. First her younger sister, then her younger brother. Occasionally, her siblings' friends would reach out for advice. Later, friend's children needed help with things. Word of mouth brought us to where we are now. All the while, life was still LIFING for Ericka. She quickly needed to systematize the same information that she acquired for herself and began to share with others repeatedly. That's when this program was officially born.

How did the name, Adulting 2 Greatness, come about?

 

When Ericka gifted a car to her brother, she drafted a contract with a list of things required to maintain one a vehicle. After all, he was a young adult, right? The name of that contract was the "Adulting to Greatness Vehicle Usage Contract". Ericka told her brother that she would repossess his car if he didn't maintain it, pay the taxes on it, or keep the registration current.  She coined the phrase, "Adulthood is the hardest 'hood".
